Voxengo Warmifier - User Testimonials
Voxengo Marquis Compressor,
Voxengo Lampthruster,
Voxengo Analogflux Suite,
Voxengo Crunchessor:
I cannot believe that Warmifier gives BBE Sonic Maximizer a run for the money. I was fixated on BBE, but after using Warmifier, there is so much more control that the BBE SM doesn't have: current, voltage tube emulation as well as tube makes/types, LE and HE filter adjustments as well as LE And HE EQ'ing. Just disgusting! (Don't fret: that's a good disgusting LOL)
Sometimes I have to admit it: I get confused to using Lampthruster and Warmifer, but Warmifer is the unexpected lovechild of Voxengo TubeAmp & Voxengo Sonic Finalizer in my eyes! I assume that Warmifer is better for the mastering phase when used with Marq. Compressor, Soniformer and Elephant.....as Lampthruster is good for colorizing tracks in congregation with Voxengo Crunchessor, Voxengo GlissEQ, and Elephant, correct?
Well, enough of my raving. I'm going back to using this bad boy. Using Warmifier with AFChorus and Crysonic's Spectra'PE 32-bit limiter is a deadly combo, yo.

I just finished my first major mix using Warmifier. I put this plug up there with the best tools in my digital or analog kit. Its a lifesaver. You say the drummer had brass that sounded like ass? - warmifier will sweeten it. Say the vocal doesn't pop into the pocket? Warmifier's vocal preset somehow makes it a lot more focused. ... and I could go on. The raves on gearslutz.com were correct.
Its so quiet and transparant that you can use it on a lot of tracks without any negatives as far as I can tell. Ok, this is the joy of a guy with a new toy, but... I would compare the effect on a track to something like the difference between a focusrite red and an api pre. Subtile - but the api costs a thousand dollars more. The Warmifier was 34 dollars. I would have paid a lot more. t.
A word on Elephant. I use quite an array of plug-in processors and effects(within my DAW) in my work. Some are very expensive and do an incredibly professional job (provided you take the time to learn how to use them). Heres one of them with a slight exception.
Elephant is an excellent track limiter. Especially for rhythm and drum tracks. Acceptional control with a silky, yet somewhat nuetral sound. Its user friendly with a simple, but effective interface.
The exception.........its not one of the more expensive products. The results just sound like it.
I have been very pleased in using several of the Voxengo processors in different professional projects. After learning what they do well ( and they do alot ), sound sculpting becomes that much easier.
Also...my feelings tell me that this company isn't going to rest on its laurels and there are further treats to come.
