can someone give a description of these beyond what is found in the manual? (only compared to T3)
i've played with marquis quite a bit and don't hear the difference in T1 and T2.

Indeed, T1 and T2 are very similar modes. They only have a minor difference in their compression function.

which is what?

The difference is technical - in how envelope signal is treated. It's hard to explain the difference. In overall, this affects attack/release curves a bit.

Try time 2 with attack settings around 15 - 25 ms and release around 150 - 250 ms and try with drum loops for aggressive compression. Time 1 is more suited to compression times around 1.5 - 15 ms attack and around 350 ms release for more gentle compression, also combine the above with short PDR times and experiment with at least 40% force setting. The main difference between time 1 and time 2 is that time 2 offers a more aggressive compression than time 1 when combined with the force setting and allows for a much louder processed signal than time 1
