I was just using pink noise, alternating left and right pan to establish correct stereophony as one of the calibration tests. Originally I was using Oxford eq only on the side channels with a 1db peak, reasonably sharp q, that started at 20k and finished at around 12-13k, This made the very high frequency transients very delicate and added some focus to the very occasional extreme side elements without thinning the main Mid body. The oxford added no artifacting but I quite liked the Heq for air as well, hence me using it in this manner.
Thanks for your help in understanding.
