The TapeBus is a rediculously useful plugin for warming up tracks and making them sound nasty...  in a great way!  If you need a bit of edge to the source, look no further.  TapeBus alone is worth the price of admission.  The other effects are icing on the cake... =)

Voxengo Analogflux Suite
Latest version: 1.5.2 - User's Manual - Forum: Analogflux Suite

Analogflux is a suite of audio processing plug-ins designed to deliver the sounds of the analog days.  In the core of these processors we have extensively used convolution processing to match the response of the original analog gear.  This suite consists of TapeBus, Delay, Impulse, Insert and Chorus plug-ins.

The TapeBus plug-in recreates characteristic elements of the reel-to-reel tape sound.  This includes saturation, modulation noise and smearing effects which are known for the 'analog' feel they bring to any audio recording.  This plug-in also applies a selected impulse response taken by us from the existing tape machine.

The Delay plug-in models the sound of an old analog delay module.  Beside this, it offers the user modern two-tap delay controls, including separate pre-delay and feedback delay controls which together allow you to build ping-pong kinds of echo soundscapes.  The plug-in also contains a cross-feedback path between the channels, which enables you to create some even more complex echo structures.  Our delay module also offers you a BPM control with the ability to sync it to the host's tempo changes.  And most importantly, you can choose the response of the delay module: from moderately bright to endlessly dark, taken from the real analog delay module.

The Insert plug-in is our attempt to create a simple processor which could be inserted on any track to make it sound less digitally-focused and thus make it sound warmer.  Beside the severe phase smearing this plug-in introduces it also allows you to apply modulation noise of selectable strength.  This processor while sounding subtle at the first glance can do miracles at taming overly sharp transients.

The Impulse plug-in is a greatly simplified version of our Pristine Space 8-channel convolution processor.  The Impulse plug-in is a two-channel convolution processor designed to be used on channel inserts and reverb sends.  It allows you to load impulses stored in WAV and AIFF audio files, and also offers you a selection of built-in impulses including vintage spring reverb.

The Chorus plug-in offers you a stereo chorus plug-in which features 8 operators (4 for each output channel), creating together a really huge and convincing chorus applicable to vocals, guitars and synth instruments.

What's New
Version 1.5.2, 30-jan-2007
TapeBus: fixed problem with the "Reset" button: previously it caused an incorrect "EM Freq" parameter behavior.

Version 1.5.1, 24-aug-2006
TapeBus: Out Gain knobs now works correctly when the global "Tape Off" switch is enabled.

Version 1.5, 11-feb-2006
TapeBus: A global "Tape Off" switch implemented that allows to disable tape impulse coloration completely and to eliminate latency of the plug-in.

Version 1.4, 24-jun-2005
  • TapeBus's EMFreq now spans from 200 to 7k Hz.
  • TapeBus now features 'Tape Bypass' mode which can be used to apply smooth saturation and perform loudness maximization with peak suppression.  You may check out the new '1dB For Free' preset to examine its effect.

Version 1.3, 16-mar-2005
  • Impulse's plug-in left/right scrolling problem fixed (this problem manifested itself when working with many instances of the Impulse plug-in).
  • Analogflux Suite plug-in naming problem which manifested itself in Plogue Bidule host fixed.

Version 1.2, 07-feb-2005
  • Impulse selection list refined in the Impulse plug-in.
  • Chorus plug-in 'mono input' issue fixed.
  • Chorus plug-in now features a different visual design.
  • A simple distortion meter implemented in TapeBus plug-in.

Version 1.1, 28-dec-2004
  • Minor issues fixed (including user interface freezing).
  • The Impulse plug-in now features more internal impulses taken mostly from several high-end analog devices.
  • The Impulse plug-in now features the Bypass button.
  • The TapeBus plug-in offers you several new tape impulses.
  • All plug-in filenames were shortened for more convenience.  This required internal plug-in ID change to be made.  If you wish to use these newer versions with the older projects you should use the Presets menu to store the setting in a file and then load it in the newer version plug-in via the same Preset menu.
  • New factory presets available for Chorus, TapeBus and Delay plug-ins.
  • Delay plug-in issue fixed (previously output could go severe clipping randomly).

Version 1.0, 22-nov-2004
Initial release.

Version 1.0a, 15-oct-2004
Initial alpha release.
