I don't normally stop and thank the architect of some amazing work, who I see also answers the support line but you deserve high praises for what you have accomplished. In two days you have given me the tools to elevate my music more than I have done in the last 3 years. I have always hated the sound of limiting, (never found a good one digital or analog) and now with THE HUGE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, I am able to hear my way through the process, finding just the right settings to get a pro commercial sound. Master buss with Sonar X3, UAD Ampex tape emulation, Polysquasher (gentle) The Elephant +3 or so, and final analog gui-ness from a Rupert Neve Portico II. Your products were the missing link. Thanks so much! Brian Lee BenderVoxengo Elephant
Voxengo is one of these rare plugin developers who offers high quality professional audio software at a really fair price. I tried their limiter, Elephant 2 some years ago and I just bought Elephant 3, released in September 2008.
Voxengo Elephant is a mastering limiter plug-in for professional music production applications. I tried some other limiters but Elephant, despite is name, is really transparent and discrete and can add some loudness without the usual side-effects, used sparingly like with every limiter of course!
For The Field Where She Died, I’m using another Voxengo plugin which is a mastering comp called the Polysquasher (I love this name!!). It’s a “glue comp” which is really transparent and brings more cohesion to the mix. I find that Elephant and Polysquasher work really great together and are a great and low cost way to finalize your songs, preserving their natural feel and dynamics.
There’s also a free EQ which is quite interesting: The Overtone EQ.
I’m really curious to try other plugins from Voxengo like the GlissEQ, a mastering EQ which seems to be really appreciated here and there!

Spasibo Aleksey! And many thanks to all the guys that are creating such wonderful products! I'm using plenty of plug-ins of many other sound effect companies, but since the time I come across the "Voxengo" ones there's no a single number/song of mine that I wouldn't want to use these outstanding plug-ins in my tracks/mixes. I'm not talking about the price, because in my opinion considering their sound, easiness of use, in comparison with other overpriced products from other sites... - they are "free". I'm impatiently waiting for your other stuff you'll come up with, I'm sure that they're going to be the same sound with a soul and as fantastic as they are now.
With a high respect I'm removing my hat before you guys.

Using it since nearly 7 years now...You need punch & micro-pumping to bring back to life beat's articulation, Polysquasher is THE TOOL. Christophe Chapelle, Sinetracks Mastering, Toulouse, FranceVoxengo Elephant
I just have to convey my absolute joy with the pristine transparency and accuracy afforded by combining polysquasher and elephant at the end of my mastering chain.
This combination is a standout for acoustic instruments and has no equal in the software domain.
Bravo to you and thank you for your work...

Thanks so much for the HarmoniEQ update. It sounds amazing. I'm finally getting the sounds on my songs that I've been trying to get for years. I use it in my mastering chain. It gives me a airy presence that's not harsh. The compressed settings are just great. They give me a smoothness that I've been looking for for my solo classical guitar pieces that have been difficult in the past.
The mastering chain I've been using recently, all Voxengo, is Tapebus, CurveEQ, Polysquasher (also a great update-wow!), HarmoniEQ, Elephant. I've been having a lot of success with that combo but I'm wondering if you have any suggestions or feedback about it. Thanks for your great work.

What a great plugin. turn it on, turn oversampling up to 4x and listen as whatever you feed through it just sounds.. tighter.
Brilliant. straight away one of the first things i try on my main output at mixing stage.
