Product registration/authorization - Q&A
Plug-in shows "Demo" on its interface. How can this be fixed?
How can I obtain the key for a Voxengo product?
You have to purchase the end-user license for the product to obtain its key.
If you have already purchased the end-user license for a Voxengo product, simply visit the User Area after logging in to access the product keys you have.
Note that products marked "free" on the web site are freeware and do not require a product key.
I'm trying to enter the key you have provided, but the product still stays in the "Demo" state.
This may happen when key is entered manually, due to mistyping. It is suggested that you use the copy&paste functions to enter the key so that no entry mistakes happen. Or use the plug-in's built-in "automatic product key download" feature which downloads product keys from your Voxengo account automatically.
Note that the latest plug-in versions, if you installed one, require a "new" key (which has a "long" format). The key can be obtained at the User Area: all "deprecated" keys now have a corresponding "new" key. If you obtained a key from a reseller a long time ago, it is likely the key is now "deprecated". To be able to authorize a plug-in, please create a Voxengo account (if not already), and add your existing key to the User Area; you will then receive a "new" key you can use immediately.
Another possible reason of not being able to authorize the plug-in is that you are trying to authorize e.g. version 3 plug-in with version 2 key. In this case you will need to upgrade your license at the User Area first.
I have switched computers and need to authorize plug-in on the new computer. How do I do that and how do I get whatever authorization I need?
Do I need an active Internet connection to authorize Voxengo products?
Is there any way exists for the user to easily remove registrations from a computer?
Latest multi-platform versions of Voxengo software titles store registration/authorization data in the standard preferences folder. On Windows systems the data files created by Voxengo audio plug-ins reside in the hidden “%APPDATA%\Voxengo\” folder; on macOS systems the data files reside in the “/Users/<UserName>/Library/Preferences/Voxengo/” folder. You may safely remove, copy, and replace these files.
Previously released Windows 32-bit only plug-ins and applications store registration/authorization data in the Windows registry - this data gets removed when you uninstall the plug-in.
Note that you do not need to remove any registration/authorization data in order to register/authorize plug-ins on another computer.
