What's New
Version 3.19, August 10, 2025:
- Fixed a non-working scroller in the "EQ Areas" editor.
- Fixed incorrect label placement in "EQ Areas", on macOS.
- Changed CSV file saving to use a more widely-used semi-colon. Compatibility with comma-delimiters retained.
- Fixed a GUI issue that could affect host's transport on Intel Macs.
- Fixed occasional GUI flickering on macOS (due to usage of Device RGB color-space, now it is sRGB).
- Improved audio-UI interoperability, to reduce a chance of audio stutter happening when UI is active.
- Made codebase optimizations.
- Reduced GUI refresh jitter.
- Fixed HiDPI VST3 GUI size issue in Cubase, on Windows.
Version 3.18, May 8, 2023:
- Fixed filter shape layering in the "Show All Filter Shapes" mode.
- Fixed dynamics shape when filter type is changed.
- Fixed a rare crash when the "Areas" preset is loaded.
- Made the spectrum also export its "Filled Display" setting, useful when many spectrums are shown at the same time. This is an often-asked-for feature. Note that you may need to revisit the "Filled Display" setting of some individual tracks. This new feature allows you to export some tracks with the "filled" setting enabled while others without it; or to display the main spectrum filled while displaying imported spectrums without filling. This new feature can be disabled via the "Import Spectrum Filling" global setting.
- Made the CSV spectrum saving also save the frequency values and channel names.
- Made the "Static Spectrums" window auto-fill the spectrum names on "Take" and "Load".
- Fixed non-working static spectrum's shifting when the "Offset" (Normalize/Center) display mode is used.
- Changed spectrum's "Freq Lo" maximum to 500 Hz (down from 1000 Hz), and "Freq Hi" minimum to 600 (down from 2000 Hz), to permit finer low- and mid-frequency range selections.
- Changed FFT analyzer's minimal averaging time to 5ms (down from 50ms).
- Changed static spectrum shift range to -42..42 dB (up from -32..32).
- Added the "Spectrum, meter border" palette modifier, visual features. The "Flat Panels" global setting is now a part of color scheme's visual features. Updated palettes.
- Added the "Auto Oversampling on Render" plug-in setting which forces "Auto" oversampling in all instances of this plug-in on render/bounce.
- Reduced visual tearing on Windows.
- Made a small speed-up of GUI loading and drawing.
- Increased averaged spectrum calculation performance thus reducing time it takes to update the GUI.
- Improved spectrum averaging precision for >1/3oct.
- Fixed an issue with popup-menus not functioning in Logic Pro on Apple M1 native.
- Fixed a system DPI scaling-related VST3 GUI resizing issue in Cubase, on Windows.
- Implemented "Portable Setups" support (portable settings and authorization storage), read more in the Primary User Guide.
Version 3.17, April 10, 2022:
- Added CSV/Excel format support to Static spectrums load/save function.
- Added the "Panel border" palette modifier.
- Updated all palettes, to reduce "border" contrast. An existing palette may need to be reloaded for the change to be visible.
- Modified spectrum window's sliders to look less contrasted.
- Removed the left-hand slider which is rarely needed, to make the EQ wider.
- Improved overall graphics drawing performance.
- Improved anti-aliased line rendering of the secondary spectrum.
- Improved knob's renderings.
- By frequent user request, the "Solo" switch's state is now saved together with the preset (a part of the routing parameters). While this opens up a possibility of leaving the "Solo" switch enabled and forgotten, this provides more flexibility, e.g. when mid/side processing is used.
Version 3.16, April 30, 2021:
- Made further spectrum smoothing improvements.
- Improved font rendering slightly.
Version 3.15, March 20, 2021:
- Enabled the "asynchronous drawing" window mode on macOS; may fix the user interface "lagging".
- Fixed user interface size increase issue in AudioUnits when scale other than 100% is used.
Version 3.14, February 18, 2021:
- IMPORTANT: This version has changed its product key format. If you already purchased this plug-in, to use this version, please visit the Voxengo web site and get a new key at the User Area (if you obtained a product key from a reseller, you will need to add your existing product key there first), or use the Automatic key download feature of the plug-in itself.
- Improved the quality of oversampling filters. This may change (improve) the sound of previously created projects where plug-in was used.
- Improved the quality of the "Peaking Hrm" filter: it now has a lot smoother harmonically-enhanced sound.
- Fixed a possible crash when "EQ Areas" preset is loaded.
- Added Apple Silicon native compatibility.
- Added 1/48 octave spectrum smoothing option.
- Improved spectrum smoothing precision.
- Automatic instance labeling implemented (not supported in VST2).
- The "out/in" indicator can now be clicked to trim the output gain knob.
- The "Dyn" value of the control point/band can now be adjusted with a mouse wheel, with the "Ctrl" ("Command" on macOS) key held.
- The "Wide View Mode" now has a lot wider, optimized view.
- The "Copy to" button is now called the "Copy": this button now copies parameters FROM the selected group, NOT TO the selected group. This should improve the workflow.
