March 15, 2004: Pristine Space--an 8-channel convolution processor (sampling reverb) in PC VST format--has been updated to version 1.1.  This update implements several major improvements and also fixes several issues.

The most useful improvement of this version is that now Pristine Space does not interrupts the audio processing during the loading of the impulse response file.  This greatly improves the workflow and minimizes the amount of possible audio drop-outs.

Another useful addition of version 1.1 is the "zero latency" processing mode.  It is a true zero latency mode which allows you to use Pristine Space during tracking without having any delays in the reverb output.

In version 1.1, convolution channels without impulses assigned to them will be bypassed, not muted.  In surround environment this allows you to apply the reverb impulse to the chosen channels, only, leaving other channels untouched.

This version also implements the pan envelope for the impulses and allows you to link the file slot's Offset and Delay controls to another file slot.

Pristine Space features:

  • Up to 8 convolution channels
  • Loading of up to 8 impulses in WAV format
  • Non-destructive impulse editing
  • Linear-phase impulse equalizer
  • Several latency options
  • Comprehensive routing
  • Serial convolution processing
  • Factory presets
  • True zero-latency processing
  • "A-to-B" comparisons
  • Support of all output sample rates
  • Low quality mode for CPU cycles saving
  • High convolution precision
  • SSE/SSE2 and 3DNow! optimizations
