Warmifier or Lampthruster for adding harmonics to old recordings?

Hello,

I am thinking of using Warmifier or Lampthruster to refresh old classical tape recordings where high frequencies have been lost during the years.

Are these plugins suited for this task?

Which one of the two mentioned would be the better choice for remastering old recordings?

Thanks for any input,

Lutz

I think with Lampthruster you may get more higher frequencies.  Warmifier is more subtle.  However, I may suggest you to look for some dedicated higher frequencies generator FXs which are too strong for everyday work, but which may recover highs better.  Currently, there are no FXs of this nature in the Voxengo range of products.
