Hi Aleksey
What are your thoughts about recording with a tube preamp vs recording with a solid state preamp and using, say, Warmifier on the recorded sound, to get tube warmth, clarity and fatness?
I understand there are lots of possible variances relating to tube type, preamp controls and quality of plugins that might make this a tricky question to answer. But, is the idea of recording in solid state and adding tube characteristics afterwards, flawed?
Kind regards
Amos

This is up to you absolutely. Since the difference between both apporaches lies in the "subtle" area, I cannot suggest anything for sure: do what sounds best to you.
