still interested, though....

Just recently purchased CurveEQ.  Question though, will current CurveEQ users get discounted prices for the new version 3?

also curious if the new version will have more match bands as well as a 'smoothing' effect similar to Ozone? the more match bands, the more accurate EQ curve, am i right?

More match bands may actually be counter-productive as this will tend to capture wrong nuances of the source material.  For spectrum matching the smoothing effect is analogous to selecting a fewer number of match points.

Yes, the upgrade price is usually 50% or even less off the regular price.

soo for example, if i am Match EQ'ing a DI guitar preamp tone, when capturing the source spectrum (Slayer's guitar tone from 'God Hates Us All', song 'New Faith'), what would you suggest to use for bands? instead of 60 band, should i use 30 or 20?

I do not think you can capture the exact tone this way.  But you can capture the frequency balance, of course.  In my opinion, 30-band matching is adequate in most cases.

Getting back to the original thread topic...is the new CurveEQ any closer to an actual release than it was a year ago when this thread started (before the new version of Soniformer and MarvelEQ and Drumformer were released)?

Thanks for your interest.  Now it's much close to the release, but still I can't give any projected release date.
