Voxengo MSED free

Might be the free (and even among the paid!) M/S utility tool out there.  You can quickly correct your mix in an essential way by adjusting mid (sum) and side (difference) volume or just use it on individual tracks and pan the mid and sides anywhere in the stereo field for sound design.  The meters are incredible helpful as well.  This is a must-have for every mixing engineer unless already having something similar (which will be hard to find).

Feature wish: The correlometer is great for seeing the balance between mid and side, but in some situations it could be better if you additionally got individual peak volume meters for both, the mid and side.  If there will even be an update to MSED, it would be great if Voxengo could consider this.

Would it make an even more outstanding plugin than it already is.

I've been looking for the correct, yet warm "jazz mono" mid/side split proc for as far as i can remember, and when i tried the MSED (even in Inline mode, let alone its encoder/decorder split features) it blew me away, there's something in its re-summing algorithm that makes it sound much "warmer" than any other M/S sum processor... so, for that late-50s "general usage" or for the late 70s centered "high pass" when i'm balancing the mix, or going through some 10 year old colledge tapes, or touching up some rare press needledrops, ... or even for the occasional VHS transfer's NICAM recovery - MSED is the nicest M/S processor i found so far, and it's free!!!  Thanks Alex!

I just bought this plugin, and have to say it's absolutely brilliant!

For years now, I have been using some plugins that came with my DAW, which I had become accustomed to.  I have always struggled to get my mixes to sound sufficiently loud without making them sound squashed.

As soon as I tried Elephant for the first time, I could hear the difference that this plugin could make to my work.  Elephant is truly amazing - it is incredibly transparent, and the metering and graphing options come in very handy too.

Thanks so much for such a great product!  I'd recommend Voxengo Elephant to anyone who needs super high quality buss compression.
