Forums     Plugins     Soniformer Downward Mode

Hello Aleksey,

From what I understand Soniformer can be used as a de-expander to amplify the signal below the threshold.  This way it leaves the peaks alone but brings up the volume of the valleys.  That is what I want to do but I want to make sure I am setting it up correctly.  This is how I'm going about it:

1) Pick a preset such as Smooth Peak Control.

2) Click the Downward Mode button

3) Set the Ratio to something above 1:1.00.  For example 1:3.00.

4) Adjust the threshold lower so that only the valleys are affected.

This is all there is to it, right?

Aleksey, are you still around?
