Most of the audio CDs in my music collection have different amounts of phase shift in the left and right channels. I am glad that the all-pass filters in the PHA-979 have independent controls for each channel.
The PHA-979 has a single dial for each all-pass filter that controls the amount of negative or positive phase shift. Can anyone recommend a VST all-pass filter that also has adjustable center frequency?
Here is a link to the PHA-979 settings I use with the Joni Mitchell album "Blue." This is for the HDCD reissue (Reprise 2038-2). You should decode the files from the CD before applying phase correction.
I think you can use a chain of effects MSED Encode - PHA-979 - MSED Decode to apply phase shift to mid and side channel information.
