I am a big fan of these plugs. they sound great and quickly get a mix under control.  BUT, I have had problems with my system crashing when using them in nuendo and more so with wavelab.  I have tested heavy processing with the uad plugs and with fish phones stuff and can render or audio export consistently. but 2 curves, sonic finalyzer and elephant together will ccrash wavelab almost evrytime.  Is this a known bug?

No, such bug is not know to date.  Could you try to disable UAD-1 temporarily and try render again?  Which version of Wavelab do you use?

How do you chain your plug-ins exactly?  Also, please, send presets for all chained plug-ins to support@voxengo.com, I'll try these myself.

Also, please make sure you are using the latest versions of these products.

I will retrace this set of issues as best I can.  I started using your curve eq abou the same time that I updated uad to 3.1 I had a few problems with freezes and crashes when doing mixdowns in nuendo and rendering in wavelab.  I recently bought your sonic finalyzer and elephant plugs.  THEY SOUND GREAT btw.  But at this time my system would not mixdown or render w/o a bluescreen.  I completely unistalled uad and still had problems.  I even removed the card.  I updated nuendo to 1.6 thinking it might help.  I did a reinstall of 3.1 and now things are better with uad.  I can mixdown with 3 pro reverbs and 4-5 la2a or whatever.  I can also load up the block fish on all channels and inserts with not problem.  I can use 1 curve eq and sonic finalyzer and render ok but anything more and i get the blue screen again.  I also had a crash with 1 elephant using +6db in smooth setting.  I was sure that uad was causing my problems but now it is behaving nicely.  I generally chain the plugs in wavelab 1.cureve eq 2. sonic finalyzer 3. elephant.  I use the presets in no particular way.  I tweak until I hear what I want and then I save the settings under master presets and then render.  I only used the system to do these tests last night.  I will have more realworld reporting after tonight's mixing.

OK, but which WaveLab version do you use?

Also, how do you use these plugs in Nuendo?  In inserts or in the master section?

Please, make sure you are using the latest versions of Voxengo plug-ins.

I am using wl 4.0g I use inserts in channells and in the master section in nuendo 1.6.  Last night I did a windows updat to sp1a.  It seemed to help I was able to audio mixdown in nuendo w/o issues.  But I tested wavelab wityh 3 curves and finalyzer and elephant.  It rendered to the last 10 seconds and then locked up with this message:

exception during process class replacing: access violation at address 04foa39f write of address 000000000. the good news is no blue screens.

I think the windows patch cleaned up the system but there are still some conflicts.  Unfortunately the problems seem to only happen with the voxengo plugs.  Too bad cause they are really amazing tools.  I will check the versions but I think that I am using the latest versions.  I will download again and reinstall to be sure.

Could you please test CurveEQs and Finalizer alone?  Since you've said Elephant crashes alone, could it be that CurveEQ and Finalizer work OK without Elephant?

Also, which Elephant do you use?  HQ or normal version?

Hey db - I'm certainly no expert, but I wonder if there might be a hardware problem?  Enough memory?  Conflict with a video card?  I run Wavelab 4.0g with W2K and 1G of memory, and I have had no problems rendering files with 2 CurveEQs, Sonic Finalizer, Elephant, PLUS Waves L2, PSP Vintage Warmer and Waves S1-Shuffler.  I can't say the musical results were all that great, but the computer didn't cough...
