Voxengo Overtone GEQ - User Reviews

Great sound - for free!! I was looking for something like the "Aphex Aural Exciter" I use on my ProToolsTDM rig. Overtone GEQ wins the price - great stuff. Other Presets are very usefull and good sounding as well. (Works via FXpansion RATS to VST on PT M-Powered 7.4 WinXP pro)
I absolutely love the "stereo sheen" preset on the Overtone GEQ. Even after using some of my pricier eq's, limiters, and mastering plugins, it still adds a punch that is missing to the final mix. And free?? Kudos to Voxengo!
The Overtone EQ is absolutely amazing! I applied it to a snare and a kick and a couple bits and pieces, it totally re-coloured a dull black and white recording! VERY HAPPY!
I have purchased several plug-ins from Voxengo and I use them often, but your new FREE Overtone GEQ saved my Christmas CD project! I had finished arranging, recording and mixing 9 songs and I then prepared to master my project in Sonar Producer 5. Since this CD will be sold and heard in professional circles I had to approximate the professional mastering I paid for on my first CD. My first attempts resulted in 'OK'-sounding mixes, but not quite up to par with the professional mastering done in Pro Tools. Then I inserted the Overtone GEQ - MAGIC! Immediately I heard the amazing changes in my mixes that actually - to my ears - sounded better than my first project. THANK YOU VOXENGO; you guys are incredible!
I tried your Overtone GEQ the other day and I fell in love with it! It's a fantastic sounding EQ that moulds your sound rather than forces it.
It's free too! Thanks alot. More plugs for the mac now please.

Thanks for included us OSX users in the release of the Overtone GEQ. I have been experimenting with M/S processing and was happy to see that feature included. All in all, a fine plugin both versatile and great sounding.

This is a truly great EQ. The "Add Loudness" preset, esp., is super-useful.
Being relatively new to the world of home recording, I have found mixing very difficult. This VST has helped my mixes out a lot.
With this being free, I wasn't expecting much, but the quality of the VST's on here are astounding.
I don't think I'd be able to even attempt mixing a song without Voxengo now.
