I've used this wonderful little reverb plugin for most every track I've mixed, and it's one of those cases where quality beats out quantity.  OldSkoolVerb is very simple (in the way the Minimoog is simple, relatively speaking), but the quality of its results beats out in some applications all the other plugins I have.  I use the "Mix Polisher" preset to add a bit of presence to the overall project, and it works wonders.  I mix and match plugins usually, but OldSkoolVerb almost always makes it into the project.

Excellent work.  I, for one, am grateful for this little piece of programming.

Don't be fooled by the "toy-like" GUI.  This reverb is absolutely BRILLIANT on vocals.  It simply puts vocals where they have to be in a mix.  I have other reverb plugins, free and not.  No comparisons.  On vocals this plugin simply shines.  It adds "ambience" and "depth" without blur the dry signal.  I've had it for a lot of time in my vst plugin folder, ignoring it ;
then a day, after having tried all the other reverbs i have, for fun i put it on the vocal FX bus and "wooow!" Never looked back!
Thanks Voxengo!  Aleksey you're a genius and a generous developer!

It's pretty simple why Voxengo plugins are so good - Alexsey has a better ear compared to other developers.

His plugins sound so 'musical'.  I've used many other plugins that technically perform their designed function, yet somehow just don't sound good.

I now have a whole set of expensive plugins that are just taking up drive space.  They simply don't sound as good as thier Voxengo counterparts.
