2nd Threshold - Range Restriction

This topic was created before release of the latest product version, and it may contain details irrelevant to this version.  Replying is disabled for this topic.

Would it be possible to implement a 'range' feature in the future, i.e. a second threshold where the compression or expansion stops?  As an example, if Soniformer is used for upward expansion, it raises everything below the threshold, which includes the noise floor; with a second threshold, the expansion would begin only after the signal reaches a certain level.  Or with compression, the plugin would compress above the main threshold, but not compress anything above the second higher threshold.  This would serve as a kind of non-linear knee and allow for better control over the action range, allowing for excellent thickening of the mix without over-compressing the peaks, or, in the case of expansion, making the lowest level ambience & noise too jumpy.
Thanks,
George

Thanks for the suggestion - I will most probably implement such secondary "range" envelope.
