What method are you using to separate the spectrum into bands in Soniformer?
I am surprised at how un-phasey it is, considering how much it is doing; I've even used it to selctively De-Ess (compress) and expand in different bands.. it seems very 'non-trivial' to have so much dynamic action in so many bands; a 4 band dynamic processor is hard enough to implement, as far as I know, much less 32+ bands!

Well, it's a "know how".
But there is no much problem in having 32 bands if you can do 4 - it's a matter of internal DSP organization.
