Mastering in WaveLab 6

Having spent a few months with Soniformer 2 I finally feel like I get all of the compressors parameters and hear what they do.  It is an excellent sounding Mastering Compressor.  Thanks for the creative tool.

I use this VST plugin (as well as CurveEQ and Elephant2) with Wavelab 6.  I've observed that sometimes the GUI for the plugin(s) changes settings (at least visually on the GUI) on their own ( Fluffy, Detector, MS Mode, CompModechange settings), and sometimes the Block modules turn themselves on when they have been turned off, and sometimes the controls just disappear (right now the input slop and main out pots have vaporizer) and the In/Out Diff is gone.  Any suggestions.  Perhaps this has been covered.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell what is going wrong.  You are probably first to report such random change problems and hiding controls.  Make sure everything is OK with your hardware - namely, system memory is error-free, no overclocking is engaged, correctly working drivers installed, etc.

I have also experienced disappearing knobs in Wavelab 6; I noticed it with Elephant, but I am also using Soniformer..  I may have seen a visually changed setting in Soniformer, but I don't think it affected the actual processing.  I will keep an eye on it too.  I have used Wavelab for years, but recently upgraded to 6.1; I have also used several Voxengo products for a few years and recently purchased Elephant and Soniformer.  The problem could be anything - I have noticed other plugins have GUI update weirdness in Wavelab 6 - Izotope's Ozone sometimes appears with part of the window chopped off.  New Computer, not overclocked, clean with fresh installs and carefully burned in: checked everything..  Wavelab 6.1 might be buggy!
Not really a question here, but passing on the info paralleling WillB's experience.
WillB, did you have Montages open at the time?  I couldn't use Soniformer in a Montage; Wavelab didn't like it, so I put it in the Master section.
BTW, Elephant, Soniformer, Crunchessor and Pristine Space are all fantastic!

I am looking for an excellent linear phase eq and wonder if Curve Eq can compete with Algorithmix Red..  Convince me, Aleksey!

I was using CurveEQ, Soniformer; Elephant2 together in the Master Section.

BTW You should try CurveEQ.  It is very good.

virtualaudio, CurveEQ is a spline equalizer, so it may lose the comparison if you need exactly a parametric EQ.

Thanks for the response, Aleksey,
The spline part - as long as the curves drawn are relatively 'natural', it would act enough like a parametric, I would think.  I was asking about the overall sound quality and filter impelmentation; how much pre and post echo is in it; but I will test the demo and see.
You haven't disappointed me yet!

Yes, demo is worth 1000 words. ;)
