I use my laptop for DJing and am interested in something that will automatically control the bass when two bass-heavy house tracks are playing. I thought I could use soniformer for this and have experimented a little. However the results are not great and intensive on cpu for a live application.
Is there another product that would do this better?

I think Soniformer should work fine for such mixing situations (just needs a clever setup).
But Soniformer cannot be used as a limiter since there is little effect in limiting bands separately. (I mean, when you sum two separately limited bands they may still go over the threshold).
Ok thanks, I will revisit and see what I can do - had more ideas last night anyway...
