If I run a wav file that is not in the correct format for burning to a CD and run it through r8brain using the "batch" option, even though the input and output formats are the same, I get a file that is also not of the correct format, but the original file IS now suddenly of the correct format.
What's going on?

r8brain free renames original files. Probably, you've mixed up them in some way.
