I was just trying to use BFD with Polysquasher. With Polysquasher on, BFD would not play the first bar. I have a registered copy of Polysquasher, btw...

Polysquasher has a small plug-in delay (latency). This could cause such behaviour if host does not properly buffers this latency. I did various tests and never seen Polysquasher eating the attacks, so indeed this may be the host's issue. You can try exporting your MIDI track to WAV and then apply PS to this WAV to see if the problem is still there.

I would try it out in Cubase SZ, but BFD isn't working well in that host...
