I just purchased this one
far too often the bass tracks are boomy
what I'm after is a tighter bass
which one of the presets would best tame a boomy bass ?

RE LF Punch
You may try using Strength of 50% and lower the LF Gain (distortion and compression at 0). This will add punch to the bass, but will decrease its overall volume. This way bass should become clearer.
