Getting a warbly sound near the end of test tone

Hi i am getting a warbly distorted sound at the end of the test tone - but if i turn it down
in nuendo it goes is this some distortion?

To my knowledge, warbly sounds appear in the impulses when you try to recover impulse for a non-linear sound source like guitar amp.  In such case this is unavoidable.  Another possible reason is the abruptly starting or ending recording used for deconvolution: the recording should have natural start and natural end, and additional trailing silence.
