Trim silence: Are True Stereo and, or, surround IR all the same length?

This topic was last updated 180 days ago, and thus it can be considered old.  Replying is disabled for this topic.

I have been generating .wav files with Impulse Modeler at an arbitrary time length that I knew was longer than necessary.

Each sample has lots of silence at the end.  I wish to delete most of the silence.  If the intent is to prepare pairs or sets of IR for True Stereo or Multichannel use in Pristine Space is there any need to, or benefit from, matching the length of each single sample from a pair or set?

Thank you,
mike

There is no benefit in matching impulse duration.  In fact, if you can reduce the length it may reduce CPU load as well.

thanks.

:-)

best,
mike

You are welcome!
