After working and reading about the mic patterns, I am confused and have some questions:
Where do have the red "handles" to stay? Is the recpting side
a) the side with the right angled red line -|
b) the side that is the flat line? |-
When I try to emaluate something like the non-omni patterns, would it make sense to add a 100% blocking wall behind the mic, so that it does not receive any rays from behind?

"A" is the recepting side. I guess that non-omni patterns are best specified in the recepting wall's properties, but of course you can put a 'blocking' wall behind - but this way you'll lose a lot of re-reflections.
