Does the "boost" mode add odd harmonics to the signal?
I noticed that it changed the sound of a background tambourine part from a sweet sound to more of a midrangey tone when the high shelf was applied. This is unlike the UA Precision EQ high shelf which left the original tone intact.
Could you perhaps add an even harmonic boost mode?

I'm not sure this can be done with the current design. On the other hand, 3rd harmonic is much less powerful than the second harmonic (first even harmonic). Actually, this resembles harmonic picture tube usually 'injects' on the audio. Probably Precision EQ simply does no harmonic enhancement if you hear no coloration change. You may try to run without the Boost mode.
