I think you can finetune it to your likening - simply make the cut less powerful and move its frequency point further to the right.  But of course to have the best match the original Pultec should be examined.

Yes I'd like to see a plot from the Pultec.  We have a Tubetech Pultec clone at work so maybe if I have some time I'll run some white noise through that and compare.

Could you run a sinesweep at several settings also?

Yes what kind of sweep exactly?

I meant sine sweep generated by Deconvolver.  BTW, if you don't have this program, simply download it via the web site - it allows to generate sine sweeps even if it works in demo mode.

Would you like the graphs from UA with the Pultec responses?

I believe I have these on my drive somewhere...

Ok got the graphs.  From what I can tell the dip is about 1k

for the boost/cut at 100hz.  When I've used the Pultec I go to the

30hz boost/cut.  Any idea where the dip would lie then?

I did some white noise tests thru the bombfactory pultec.  I then used GlissEq to analyze them and made curves in that EQ to match them as perfectly as I could.  If anyone wants them let me know.  I'm also going to do some match presets in Curve EQ as well.
