Hi Aleksey,

could you advise me if I am using MSED correctly in the mastering phase.

I have the following setup:

Track 1 Mid (same stereo wav file as on Track 2)

- MSED as an insert effect on the track in mode 'encode'

- Track panned left

- plus a number of other insert effects

Stereo Track 2 Side (same stereo wav file as on Track 1)

- MSED as an insert effect on the track in mode 'encode'

- Track panned right

- plus a number of other insert effects

Master channel

- MSED as an insert effect in mode 'decode'

- plus a number of master channel insert effects

Actually I have also routed some sends to group tracks.  The sends on track 1 are panned left and on track 2 right.

The balance between Track 1 and Track 2 to I have adjusted using the channel volume faders.

Yes, this is a correct setup for mid-side processing.

I'm assuming that you are using the corresponding "Mute" switches in MSED plug-in, not just doing the panning on the track.

Hi,

I had but then I turned them off as I thought that it maybe was a mistake.

Noticed some peculiar effects and turned them back on, i.e.

Track 1 side muted

Track 2 mid muted
