This is number of samples, it's equal to "Length In Seconds * SampleRate".

hm, it doesn't work.
Have a look there
The output buffer has garbage data.
32k_sample.wav has such attributes 28 sec length, 16 bit, 32kHz, mono.
Any ideas?

Well, I can't help much - I know the function works correctly, it may be some interfacing problem.
