I have been playing with the demos and love these plugs.

I am planning on purchasing:

Curve EQ

Lampthruster

Polysquasher

Soniformer

Elephant

SO, what order do I put them in for mastering?

Are any of the plugs useful on individual tracks?

I assume Lampthruster is, well I liked it anyway....

Is it better not to use all the plugs during mastering?

peace,

david

Lampthruster and Polysquasher can be used with individual tracks.  Other plug-ins are of mastering nature mostly.  CurveEQ can be used too, but only if you have a very fast computer.

In any case, Elephant must come last since it is a limiter.  Other effects' sequence is a question of personal taste.

For mastering I could try this lengthy chain:

CurveEQ - Soniformer - CurveEQ - Lampthruster - Polysquasher - Elephant

However, Lampthruster must be used very carefully for mastering (even with negative Drive values).

EQ twice?  I never would have thought... ok then

For now I'll use Lampthuster for individual tracks

In that case, would you still use this order..

and thanks for the quick responce

Another good order is:

CurveEQ - Soniformer - Polysquasher - Elephant.

This way it's simpler to control everything for you while you will eventually get transparent results (i.e. with minimum unwanted/unmusical coloration).

Thanks again for the quick reply
