with higher "Trans Time" settings i get weird digital artefacts here when feeding elephant with heavy (but clean) bass. Even with extemey low compression ratio. Can you check this?
Here 3 examples:
48kHz 32bit float (REAPER 2.55)
Definitely something strange is happening. Please post a link to the original file and preset as well. I also need to know you audio driver buffer size (latency) setting.
Also, please play with the knee setting - it can be related to the knee setting as well as the "glitch" follows musical logic.
And you also don't see the audio stuttering from elephant when tweaking the trans time knob? sounds horrible here :(
happens with all modes and any knee settings. input peaks at about -6dB, no "in gain", 0dB out. so pretty much no processing.
Horrible stuttering when changing the Trans Time - this is unresolvable (too much happens behind the scenes to make the transition smooth). This is also mentioned in the user manual as a technical given - it's better to use keyboard entry.
(and well, to be "dandruff-free" I could change the Trans Time knob to discrete value selection, but I decided not to limit creative possibilities)
IMO Elephant shouldn't block the host that much when tweaking this know.
Also I just found reproducing steps for the timing problem: It happens on switch from 1x to 8x oversampling while playback. Not possible to resync this properly on the fly?
Single glitch is to be expected.
