Aleksey,

In the Elephant manual it says, "K-14 AFAIK is RMS - 14dB, PRMS - 10dB.  These figures incorporate +3dB correction.  So, after enabling the +3dB correction you can examine your levels against Katz's metering system just by examining RMS and PRMS figures."

Using the Ultra Smooth +1.5 preset, in Pure mode my RMS read - 19.6 and PRMS read - 11.9.  However, in K-14 mode RMS read -2.5 and PRMS read +4.  How do I make sense of these readings?

Thanks

In K-14 mode -2.5 means your RMS level is -2.5 dB lower than what is required by K-14, while PRMS is exactly where it should be (+4).

Here is the classic link to K14 metering :)
