Hi Aleksey,

I wonder if you would consider providing some WaveLab presets that use several of your plug-ins together, as sort of a mastering suite preset set.

I suppose some users could do the same.  I'm just not always clear on the best order in which to use your presets.  I sadly don't trust my own experimenting, I suppose.  I'm always afraid I'm missing something more optimal or logical.  I've read a couple of threads here which mention the issue, but I'd like to see all of the wisdom consolidated into one thread (that perhaps could be given a "sticky", if this forum allows for such).

In lieu of this, perhaps a post from Aleksey or some other power users about several different sequences of plug-in' that produce different desirable effects.  And maybe specific suggestions of what presets work well together in sequence when using different plug-ins.  As someone who owns basically the entire Voxengo collection, I'd like some opinions as to how to get the most use out of them in conjunction with other plug-ins.  I realize that some things such as EQ are quite program specific, but that doesn't prevent Aleksey from making some darn-useful presets.  I would just like to see them presented in a more global context, if that makes sense.

Another WaveLab presets-related request: I've noticed that when I select a preset on a voxengo plug-in and save it as part of a WaveLab preset, when I recall the plug-in, the little checkmark is no longer next to the preset I'd selected.  So the plug-ins don't recall the preset probably when used in WaveLab (I'm using the latest 4.01 release).  Anyone else confirm this?  Is this a WaveLab or a Voxengo issue?  I'd really like to see it fixed so I'd know exactly what preset my settings are based on upon recalling the WL preset.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, it's pretty hard to build some general FX chains.  I think that in most cases such chains can sound very 'hyped' with much additional tweaking necessary to suit your program material.

Of course, nobody stops other from sharing with their mastering chains.

As for WaveLab preset request, it is actually WaveLab's feature not to store preset checkmark's position.  You can try it with standard WaveLab-bundled VST FX, too - they don't store preset position.
