I like the curve eq a lot. it can get a mix in the ballpark eq wise very quickly.  But I have noticed that after I match a mix w/ceq and then save the match it often seem to get dull and lose the high end and sparkle.  It sounds great until I save.  Am I doing something wrong?

Here is what I am doing.  I play a cd that has great eq.  I capture the eq.  I then play my new mix and let ceq match it. sounds great here.  I then hit s to save and the sound becomes dull and muted. whats up with this?

During matching CurveEQ does not adjust your signal.  And after you press 'S' it builds the matching curve.  It is likely that you get a wrong matching curve, or this curve must be adjusted further.  Matching is not always gives good results, and you must have a strong experience in it.  Otherwise it is easy to start to hate spectrum matching feature.

If you press the "S" button, CurveEQ will match the spectrum the FIRST time.  So it gets dull cause the EQ curve of the mix you captured wont fit on your mix.  Before you dont notice any change cause CurveEQ does nothing to the sound when analyzing, only when your press "S" it starts it EQ´ing work.

btw... "S" means not Save, it means "Stop" (Stop capture process).  You have to save it via your Host anyway.

Ok I understand.  I expected the match to be exact.  I will now consider it a place to start and adjust manually.
