I'm a reviewer (and soundtracking musician ;) for a "small" french audio software site and I have reviewed your MarvelEQ plugins pack... and... uh... well... apart from the GUI I believe this pack is technicaly very interesting.
After testing and reviewing it, I'd have some suggestions to make for improvements which would make the plugs more useable.
So. First I think you REALLY should add numbered scales next to each slider! A bigger and maybe "LED-style" level textbox would really improve the plugs... the present text is barely visible below the sliders! And would it be possible to make the sliders move step-by-step by clicking below/over them on the scale without having to slide them (scrollbar style if you know what I mean).
Finaly a way to save presets would be VERY handy :)
That's it. Else I really appreciated the output which wais to me, very accurate. It's really only a matter of GUI and ergonomy.
Good job anyway :)
Thanks for your feedback. Actually, MarvelEQ was kind of 'first of the kind' plug-in. In the near future I'm planning to release a new MarvelEQ version. It will be more sophisticated, with better design and hopefully much more affordable.
Right now all developer resources are concentrated on CurveEQ equalizer. Soon version 1.6 will be released.
BTW, what the URL of your audio software site? Do you feel it is a place where software user buying decisions are made?
I'm very glad to hear you talking about future and improved versions of MarvelEQ and I'm really looking forward to it.
The URL of the site is http://nzbb.n-zone.org
We started this site in the beginning of 2002 (february) and since there are very few independent french-speaking audio software related sites, we have an evergrowing audience. I wouldn't dare saying "YES! The audience buys because of our ratings"... but I know that most of the sites selling software we have reviewed so far (and had good ratings) are experiencing more visits ;)
It would be very nice of you to keep me informed of forthcoming versions of MarvelEQ!
