Aleksey, where in the World are you from!!!  The Elephant is , .......  AWSOME!!!!  How do you do it. this is transparent as Heck!!!  You are a Genious.  Keep up the Awsome work , You Rock Hard!!!

Oh yea did you find out if there are any problems in Samplitude with the Curve EQ.  And did you solve the problems in Cubase SX.

Thanks :)

Jim

Great limiter, Aleksey!  I only tried it on a couple of mixes, but I could squeeze it quite a bit before the artifacts became really noticable.

And for some reason, I find the artifacts from this little guy much more pleasant than those from the L2 and it's ilk.

Cheers.

hi, wow, NICE thing. i just spent 10 minutes testing and could get the same Limiting power as with L2. both make the same RMS power before each one begins to introduce artefacts if i turn it higher. but as this is a alpha and IS ALREADY comparable to the L2, i wonder what the final will bring! good work as usually Aleksey. (btw check your mail regarding the new Tube plugin)

Ok, thanks for your comments.

Jim, please, contact me via info@voxengo.com with even more thorough explanation of your issue.  I've tried CurveEQ with Cubase SX 1.02 demo and have not got any problems.  Since you are UAD-1 user, I want to make some tests with your help.  Hope this will help to catch that bug.

altough i just noticed as i tested on a sinewave that Elephant seems to add Tube Distortion as i can see some typical Tube Harmonics compared to L2 that doesnt do that.  Just try on a sinewave on about 100hz @ 0dbfs and do +7db with L2 and then +7db with elephant and you hear what i mean.

Cheers.

DaBug, I believe L2 will show harmonics on sinewave of 40 Hz.  That's just the algorithm.  It must be tested with full mixes and not with sinewaves.  And, BTW, such saturation sounds good anyways.

Aleksey, I just tried the Elephant and compared it to the L2 on some acoustic sources and find it to be very transparent, If not more so than the L2.  It seems to maintain a better image as if the separate instuments are more easily definable across the stereo field.  I will definately be purchasing the release version.  How much will it cost?  It also would be nice if the dither could be completely bypassed and if some input and output meters were added.

Nice work!!!

OK, thanks for your comments.

Please, check this archive: http://www.voxengo.com/temp/elephant_shootout.rar This archive contains 7 different versions of Elephant.  Please, mention which you like most.  Hope this won't take much of your time.

Nice plugin.  Unfortunately when you try and render it in Wavelab 4.0g it only gives you the first half of the file and cuts off the rest.  Just thought you would like to know.  This is similar to the problem that was in Voxengo Curve EQ and the same thing happened when you tried to render that in Wavelab.
