Dear Aleskey,

You Wrote in the User manual:

"CurveEQ's resolution is pretty high (60 bands).  But of course, that is not the main point - in most cases lesser number of points makes a better job."

Two quick questions:

1.  Why would using 60 bands be worse than 30 bands?  Because you say "in most cases lesser number of points makes a better job"...

2.  Also how many band do you recommend if I am working with 44.1khz 24 bit material...  12 bands?  I am trying to spectrumatch one 44.1 .wav to another 44.1 wave.

Thanks.

When using 60 bands this may create too large 'dips' and 'notches' which may sound 'wrong'.  With less number of bands the matching curve you get is smoother and thus usually sounds better.

The exact number of bands to use depends on the material.  Music may benefit from lower number of bands while individual sounds may still sound good with a larger number of bands.  Just try it for yourself.
