Hi Aleksey,

I'm using Crunchessor to smooth out some close-mic'd vocal tracks that even made Soniformer pump - so you know they're brutal!

In the Crunchessor manual you state "Another remarkable feature of Crunchessor is its valve-type processing, which is applied in parallel to compression. " Does this mean that the 'IN' db level kind of drives the valve processing and that more IN gain adds more color, less IN gain results in less color or valve processing ?

Thanks - !  Very Cool Sounding Plugin :)

PS Does the name CRUNCHessor imply something about the transfer curve ?  You mention in the Elephant EL-3 mode that the Shape can adjust the crunchy-ness of the transfer curve, or something like that.  2 different things ?

'IN' parameter byitself does not adjust the valve processing - it only feeds more signal to the input and thus distortion happens earlier most of the time.

CRUNCH in Crunchessor is about valve mode function.  It applies pleasant distortion which sounds much like a creaky vintage-sounding device, especially on bassy sounds.
