  • Stereo balance and correlation meters
  • Multi-band panning

Aleksey,

The VST2 version of Soniformer 3.4 seems to be behaving strangely in SONAR X3.  While the GUI is open, it seems to slow down the speed of the entire SONAR GUI to around 2 frames per second.  The VST3 version works fine in SONAR X3, though, and the VST2 version still seems OK in SONAR X2.  The previous 3.3 VST2 version worked OK in both X2 and X3, however.

Please use VST3 version.

You can use VST2 version if you load the Default Stereo routing preset right after loading the plug-in.  It's a very old problem of Cakewalk's VST support - it simply allows VST2 plug-in to address all 8 channels, not limiting to 2.

OK, thanks Aleksey.  I was planning to use the VST3 version from now on anyway, but I just wanted to report the problem since it seemed like something behaving differently than before, in case someone else was sharing projects between different versions of SONAR, etc.  However, it does work fine after switching the routing, so I guess the old version just was defaulting to stereo.

I have just posted Soniformer v3.4.1 which fixed the problem in Sonar X3.
