FR: Load/Save presets (.fxp) from within plugins.

Hi Aleksey :)

Feature request:

In Soniformer and Boogex the current plugin settings can be direcly saved/loaded to/from a .fxp file (great feature)

In CurveEQ, Elephant and Voxformer they cannot (I wish they could)

So my feature request is simply to have an option like that of Soniformer and Boogex (IE the option to save/load .fxp settings directly via the plugin) implemented in all your plugins.

I am using Cubase AI4 and it cannot save VST-presets as .fxp, and its own internal .vstpreset format just doesn't work for me (atleast I cannot get it to work, and I've tried both winXP, Vista and win7), so I can only save such presets via those of your plugins that support such an option (like Soniformer and Boogex does)

In my workflow I sometimes want to save the settings of a plugin (a master EQ curve on song A for example when using CurveEQ) and reload them later on a different project (on song B for example) or even in the same project but just on a different track using a second instance of a plugin (for example a Voxformer setting copied from one vocal track to a different vocal track (I know Voxformer can save the spectrum itself internally, and reload it in a different instance, but I can't save the full plugin settings as one preset))

I can do it in Soniformer and Boogex just perfectly (every single setting is saved and loaded), but not in CurveEQ, Elephant and Voxformer.

So if there's a chance you might consider implementing such a feature as a general feature I would personally welcome it very much.

Thanks :)

jacob.

What is the problem using internal .cpf format, or preset manager?  I do not see a reason to use .fxp format, because without the exact plug-in these .fxp files are useless.

Ohh... stupid me, I didn't know there was a preset-manager :)

I only now discovered that a different menu comes up when clicking the label "Presets", where I can add my own presets.  Up to now I have only been clicking the little down-arrow and since that only brings up the session bank and factory rom I didn't think I could add my own presets.

Well, that solves my issue.  Thanks :) (and sorry for not having noticed this before posting)

Up to now I used to take screen-dumps of the plugin settings and then use those pictures to manually set the plugin to the same settings on the different tracks or projects where I needed them transfered to (that was a lot of work).  And all that time I could have just used the preset manager, hahaha :D

Oh well, funny things happen, and luckily we learn new stuff every day :)

Thanks for your reply.

You are welcome!  Reading the User Guides helps, too. :-)
