Hi Aleksey, just wondering if there is an y plan to port the plugins at least to the vst 2.4 specification...  i do know from the kvr discussion you are not interested in vst3, but actually most plugins these days ARE vst 2.4 it is very rare to see vst 2.0 (besides yours)

Of course, all plug-ins will be ported to multiplatform VST2.4 and VST3 if that will be a market requirement.  Win64 will be also supported natively - which is still a rare thing among plug-in vendors at the moment.

Hi Aleksey, you mean the plugins will go to vst3 if a market requirement, and definitely vst 2.4....?  am i understanding correctly...

could i guess when you might go to vst 2.4?

we dont have official support in cubase for anything under vst 2.4

dont forget, on mac, nothing under 2.4 will work in UB.

Yes, this is correct.

This is a gradual process I'm now starting - very soon I'll present a brand-new plug-in, and then I will start working on all existing plug-ins.

That's the reason I dislike such 'standard' (VST3 simply filled my cup).  There is nothing technically wrong with supporting VST2.0 plug-ins given they follow VST2.4 plug-in design guide-lines (and Voxengo plug-ins do follow them - they basically do not use functions that are declared 'deprecated' in 2.4).

All new releases that are Mac OS X compatible will support 2.4 r2 (guess what - Steinberg released 'revision 2' of VST 2.4, which is still a bit different from the original VST2.4).
