Hi
First off, thanks for your wonderful plugins.

I was wondering if and when you are planning to support the VST3 standard.  I really hope so!

Keeping my fingers crossed!

/Daniel

Steinberg still has not released VST 3.0 SDK, so I can't tell anything about VST 3.0 support - but I believe it will be supported when it becomes available.  In fact, it is more of a host requirement - to support VST plug-ins of at least verions 2.0.  Otherwise too many users will be left behind.  So, I do not think that somebody will switch to VST 3.0 exclusively anywhere soon - it will take years from now before VST 3.0 becomes the only acceptable VST version.

I am also looking forward to the VST3 implementation.
Aleksey - you can get the VST3 SDK in Beta, if you want to.
Can I just ask one thing?
On the multichannel support, for the love of all the gods please do not implement things in the same way that Steinberg have done in Nuendo 4.
They have global operation of all surround plugins, and that is as close to useless as a chocolate teapot.  I personally cannot think of any use at all where I would want to give the same settings across all 6 channels
What would be ideal is the same way that the Steiny Surround Edition works:
I would/Should be able to either set each channel independantly of each other, as well as being able to group channels together.  This would allow me to set up an EQ (or a compression curve) for, say, Left/Right, and Left Rear/Right Rear, with solo capability on Centre & Boom.

Whom I should contact?  I do not see any info on the Steinberg site.

Please try Overtone GEQ 1.3 and comment on its channel routing capabilities.  It's the way all future Voxengo plug-ins will be working.  Let me know what kind of further refinements you'd like to see.

Maybe I am missing something here, but I can only see the possibility of 5 groups?
Does this mean I could not, for example, EQ every channel with different settings?
I hope not, as that is something I really, really need to have.  Especially in the other tools you are doing.
The grouping is superb - it works like this in the Steiny Surround Edition.  Very handy being able to link, say, L/R and Ls/Rs as well.  But for a lot of POST type work, I will need all 6 - sometimes even 8 - available to adjust independently of each other.
I guess adding on 3 more groups would have an identical effect, as the default would then be channels 1 through 8 defaulting to groups 1 through 8, but with the flexibility of combining channels as well.

Does this make sense>?

It's no problem defining more groups.  Other plug-ins will feature 8 groups.  Actually, Overtone GEQ initially featured 8 groups as well, but I thought that it's an overkill.  Thanks for noting you need more.

Thanks Aleksey.
If the rest are this easy to set up & use, I for one will be plonking down the cash immediately, on release.
They will be true "No-Brainer" purchases

By the way, VST3 is officially out.  However, at the moment it does not look like it's accepted with a good attitude by plug-in developers (me included).  But we'll see what host developers say.
